What a crapload of snow! Yuck!! What's better than a foot + of snow a month before winter officially arrives? Having your husband work from Friday 5pm until like Sunday 11pm non-stop, and having to learn how to operate and use the damn snowblower! At least we have one, I'm thankful for that. But I still had to shovel the steps and the entrance and the back deck at least a little, and my back is hurting like a mofo today. Why must it be the back? Why can't a less useful part of my body be a wuss? Like... I don't know...

BAM!
Winter has arrived. Just like that. Last weekend we were all marveling at the balmy 18 Celcius we were experiencing, and declared that maybe global warming wasn't such a bad thing after all. Then, Wednesday, BAM! Winter. Cold, snow, ice, slush, you name it, we got it. And it stayed. And now they're calling for 5cm of snow tonight and 15cm tomorrow. UGH!! Not already!!
So yeah... winter arrived on the day that I had my interview.
It's been a while...
So I have this thing... I hate blogging before having read all of the blogs in my "Faves" bloglines category. With this stupid nablopomo thingamajig, I haven't had the time to clear my bloglines in a while! I also have this other thing where I'll only read blogs at work... Okay that sounds bad.. but that's what it is LOL. (There is a LOT of downtime!) Because of popular demand (like, the 2 of you who dropped me a line hehe) I have decided to break my rule and to do a quick update. (Sorry Katie, Alex, Claire and all the other ones in my Faves that are still unread and uncommented!
I've been loving you too long
One of my favorite bands of all time is Pearl Jam. Once, at a conference, I was on a balcony chatting with other smokers. We were discussing music, and when I said that my favorite band was Pearl Jam, the girl in front of me said : Oh, that's from my older sister's time. They are old aren't they? GAH, I'm so old haha.
There aren't many albums that I can honestly say that I love each and every track. Like, even. When I was in high school, I completely fell in love, head over heels for Pearl Jam's "Ten" album.

I'm sitting here in my jammies, with a sleeping puppy at my feet. She loves her doggy bed, but when I'm sitting at the computer desk she ditches her comfy bed to come sleep at my feet. I thought it was so cute... Until I realized a few minutes ago that she had completely chewed and sliced the cord for one of Steph's playstation controllers. Fuck! Why must I be a dog lover? I can't afford a new playstation controller after the necessary shopping spree I just went on today during my lunch hour. We both absolutely needed new winter coats. I mean, last year Steph wore a 6XL and I wore a size 28W.
I honestly didn't think that it would affect me this much!
I feel so lucky to be witnessing such an important part of history!!
I wish I was wearing something fabulous at least. I'm going to have such a lame story for when my grand children ask me what I was doing this exact night.
