I confess that I am *SO* pumped that we're leaving for New York City the day after tomorrow!! (Well technically tomorrow, since it's 2am hehe) I'm tweaking and re-tweaking my schedule and practically scheduled times to fart! haha kidding, but I think this is going to allow us to make the most out of our budget, to know exactly what we're doing and when. (The last time we went we kind of overspent!) This is going to be my best New Years Eve EVAH!!! (ok I'd never say 'evah' in real life.. this is my cyber life..

Procrastination? Disorganization? Laziness? Busyness? Forgetfulness?
I'm not sure what to blame this on... A couple of months ago, I was in a photoshopping mood. I decided to create different random blog headers for my blogs, so that I could 'decorate' my blog appropriately for each occasion. So far? If you blinked you might have missed it, but I put up the "Rememberance Day" blog header, but I posted it too late hehe. Oh and I also posted the Halloween one like the day before Halloween. Did I show my Elections one?
Holiday Vacay Countdown : 2 days!!
Well that's when I factor in the fact that this afternoon is our office xmas lunch party thingy, and there is enough booze, snacks and egg nogg in here for an army. Plus they're calling for 15cm of snow today so the party might be cut short and we might all just leave early hehe. Friday morning I have an appointment in the morning... and Friday at 5pm I'm done working for the YEAR!!
So there is a good chance that Heather is going to be able to come meet us for sushi in NYC!! I'm so thrilled that she liked us enough to want to meet us again, lol! But.... I've been struggling a lot...

What a great way to start the week : Blood tests at 8am and the hospital was like a zoo, I only got out at 9h30. Then arrived to work to see this email :

We regret to inform you that you did not obtain the minimum pass mark required for one or more of the merit criteria assessed during the interview for the above-mentioned appointment process. As a result, no further consideration can be given to your candidacy.
So yeah... I can't even obtain the minimum pass mark for a secretary position.
Back to the real world!
Kinda... and only for 5 days :) In 5 days vacation starts!! Woohoo!
In 10 days it's Christmas Eve!
In 14 days we leave for New York City!!
So it doesn't really feel like the real world, although we're back from our mini vacay in Halifax. It was FAB! The drive there was horrendous. It was raining SO hard, and the wind was blowing so hard that it felt like we would either get tipped over by the wind or swept in a rain wave hehe. It was so crazy at times, I took a video with my camera... but it didn't work well and all you see is little dots of rain in the darkness.. set to techno music.

Lots of fog outside, BUT the freezing rain stopped and it's supposed to be 15C this afternoon!! (WTF, mother nature? But thanks!) AND Aunt Flow no show so far! woot!
Steph is on his way home from work to pick me up, and he's bringing a basket for ME!? that his boss made hehe. Apparently there's a bottle of Shiraz in it.. I already know I'll love it! hehe.
I cleaned the house, did the laundry, wrapped all the Christmas gifts and got dolled up! Just waiting for my knight in shining armour! (or shining fiberglass..

So I just remembered that this blog has little sections... I just updated them all, just because I should really go to bed but instead I'm procrastinating.
Did I tell you that it's this weekend that we're going on a little getaway to Halifax, on Steph's employer's dime? To 'make the wife happy' for all the overtime, which is thankfully over!
Did I tell you that more likely than not, Aunt flow will be visiting that weekend?
And last but not least, that the weathernetwork.ca is calling for 25cm-35cm of snow Friday?

I haven't blogged in so long that Wordpress looks all differerent. I like it, but I'll have to get used to it. (The back end I mean.. you probably don't see anything different.)
In case you hadn't noticed, I lost my blogging mojo. Not even Heather's wednesday challenge worked, although I was tempted for a minute. I don't know why. I've lost all sorts of motivations lately. Eating, exercising, cleaning, xmas decorating.. I don't know what's my problem. Plus, every night I'm fighting sleep and ready for bed at like 8pm. I'm a night owl, right? Maybe I'm morphing into middle-aged Nancy.
