Turning 30 in Vegas...

Soooo even though I'll only be ready to book (pay) for this in Aprilish... I'm already starting to get excited and starting to think about it more!

I'm thinking that what would work best for us is to go from August 13th to the 16th. (Thursday to Sunday) My birthday is on the 13th/Thursday, and Stephanie and Lee's wedding anniversary is on the 15th.

I'm a researcher...

Gym & Twinrix decisions

We finally received our passports in the mail today! Woohoo!! We're officially free to leave the country at any moment! If we could afford to...  BUT my google trip countdown tells me that we're leaving on our free cruise in 49 days! Le Woot!

About the Gym... I'm sure you've figured out by now that we've royally let our brand new shiny exercise habits slide. In fact, we haven't done any intentional exercise since I don't know when. Our gym membership ran out before Christmas. If we we had enough money to not fret over it,  there wouldn't be any decision to be made.

I think overall it went well...

But I'm second guessing myself as I'm asking all my regular work hours email chatters about divisions.

The test started at 9am, at some community center on St. George St. Despite the slick roads, I got there 20 minutes early, giving me plenty of time to calm my nerves and use the washrooms before the test. I entered the room about 15 minutes before 9, and there were only about 3 empty stations left. Darn those punctual people! I had to sit in the front row, which I hate!

About The Shack

A few days ago I finished reading The Shack - by William P. Young, which I picked up and read because Mindy mentionned it on her blog, and then RoseAnn commented that she read it too. Now Megan commented on my blog that she would like to hear my thoughts on The Shack, so I'm going to try to blog about it... but the only problem is, I'm still thinking about the book nearly everyday since I've finished it, and asking myself questions.

First of all, it is a fiction book. Still, it's amazing to me how strongly people are reacting to this book.

Is this the one where she...

And this is why I keep a book list

Because I'm convinced that I have some bad memory sectors...

The other day I was sharing my excitement over the Shoppaholic movie with my coworker Sonia. We started talking about the books, and I told her that I had only read the first and that I should really read the rest of the series.

Yesterday while browsing at Chapters I picked up "Shoppaholic Takes Manhattan", "Shoppaholic and Sister", and "Shoppaholic Ties the Knot".  I finished reading "The Shack" last night, and then I started "Shoppaholic Takes Manhattan"... I read about 2 chapters before I started getting a 'deja read' feeling!

A birthday weekend

I'm still upset that I had to miss Sophie's birthday party. Even though in my book, friends & family are almost tied in my list of priorities, friends are generally more understanding... in my case at least. On Friday evening, I was sooo tired that when I declared at 9h45pm that I was going to bed, Steph looked at me like I had two heads hehe. I'm such a night owl. Everything is more relaxed and more fun after dark, maybe that's why I find night life so appealing.

56 Days left until vacay!

On days like today (-30C / -22F) I stalk my vacation countdown application on my iGoogle homepage! And on days as cold as today, I change my mind about wearing my new cute jean skirt hehe. I bought a pair of black tights to try and wear them over my thinnest pair of compression socks. You still see the compression socks a little, but the skirt is knee lenght as well as the socks... and I'm tired of letting a pair of socks dictate half of my wardrobe!!
