A Busy Weekend In My Head
It’s been a long week. There was a big round of job cuts this week at work. It was really crazy. I’m really grateful that my job is still safe, but there will be another round of cuts in April, so let’s just say that I’m kind of stressed. I’ve worked so hard to have this job. It means a lot to me. I love my job and I love my coworkers. I hope I get to keep it.
Being uncertain of which direction my life will go in April has stirred up a lot of things in me. It’s been a busy weekend in my head.
What do I want in life?
Am I living the kind of life I want to live?
Am I living a respectable life?
Am I living my life to my full potential?
If I had kids, would I advise them to live their lives the way I’m living mine?
What are my goals, and who around me will be there to support me?

Proof of an epic trip to Halifax: Laughing so hard you're crying while Looking at your pictures for the first time.

That was the view from our balcony, overlooking the Halifax Harbour. This two day mini-vacation really hit the spot. My ‘fun’ meter is definitely recharged. Highlights:
- Seeing our first snow of the season on the drive down to Halifax!
- A beautiful, sunny drive back, with a great soundtrack.
- A late dinner with Erin at a cool pub. I had a delicious turkey avocado burger with cranberry mayo. Mmm.
- Live bands at Gus’ Pub, including my favourite local band – Shades of Sorrow.

I’m such a groupie!
- Jack Daniels & diet Coke. And Fireball
- Sharing nachos and our favourite burger at Your Father’s Mustache.
- Opening up, being vulnerable, and having a great discussion over nachos.
- Browsing HMV. <3
- A song about a drunken sailor
- Running in hallways
- Loud singing in the car
- Greasy fast food to feed a bad hangover
- DEElicious fresh apples bought at the Masstown market on the way back
